Little Man has created his very first masterpiece! Yes, it was time to set him free with paints (when I say free, I mean strapped into his highchair, which I’d covered with a bin bag, and wrapped up in a huge coverall that fits his sister!), and he was excited!
It was lovely to see him experimenting and concentrating so much on what he was doing…
And here it is, his first painting..
Instead of letting it get lost in amongst all of Boo’s arty pieces that we have on the wall, or putting it in his memory box, I remembered that when he was born, he’d had a lovely gift of picture frames that until now, has lain in his drawer. So, I cut his painting up and created this rather sweet little keepsake…
Which is now on his bedroom wall, preserved forever!
I’m so happy that I remembered this frame set as I think it’s such a cute way to keep his picture, and it looks bright and pretty! A thrifty little piece of decor! What do you think?
I love it ! Plus you have the photo of his whole piece in its entirety as well ! What a great idea to keep it this way.
Oh yes, I have the photo! Glad you like it – I am really pleased with it 🙂
Oh you did it, I love it! Well done Little Man on an excellent painting 🙂 Loving the prep as well – the coverall and bin bag made me laugh 🙂 Very cute idea to put it in the frame too, looks so sweet! xx
It was loads of fun, thanks! Had to be prepared 😉
Aww! I bet he had a great time!! Such a great idea to put it in a frame!!
Thanks – I think it looks fab!
Beautiful idea! …And I love your definition of ‘free’, that resonates within my ‘keeping a BIT of control over the situation’ self 😉
Thanks very much 😉
Aww that is lovely. What a colourful picture 🙂
Thanks very much x
What a lovely thing to do and it looks great too x
He loved it! Thanks x
Worthy of the Tate modern there! I love little man’s concentration. He is just too cute! X

Thanks very much – I love it!
I love the idea of using photo frames to keep first art works safe and on display.
It looks so cute, and he keeps pointing to it- proud boy!
Now that’s a great way to keep his first masterpiece! #letkidsbekids
Thanks!
Grace says – This is fab – Well Done Little Man xx
Lucas says – *high 5* lil’ man – very proud of you xx
The Mother say – we HAD to comment on this. What fab painting and what an amazing idea to frame them like you have. Definitely one of our best #minicreations EVER. Thanks for linking 🙂
Thanks so much – lovely to know! I do love it 🙂 Thanks for hosting x
Popping back, thanks for linking #LetKidsBekids…….I really love this 🙂
Thank you, and thanks for hosting x
What a great idea to frame his first ever piece of artwork! Definitely something I will keep in mind for Jumpy’s first masterpiece (she has done some finger painting, but as I had put sugar in the recipe, I thought it would not be wise to keep it!). Mel
I was so pleased to think of it – it looks so sweet on his wall 🙂
The first of many to come, I’m sure. He looks like he was concentrating very hard. Nice way to display.
He really was!

Very creative: I love the colours & patterns! Also, I.m very envious at how organised you are!
Thank you. I’m not that organised, when you consider that that frame’s been languishing in a drawer since he was born, and he’s now 18 months old!
Thanks; that makes me feel a bit better! 😉
Oh, good!
