A Rainy Weekend

So how’s your weekend been? Wet and windy like ours? I’ve really felt it not being able to get out to a park or go for a lovely walk this weekend, but it’s just not so enjoyable when it’s pouring with rain (especially as Little Man hates keeping his rain cover on the pushchair and kicks it off at every opportunity – not ideal!). It’s been OK, as we’ve got odd things done, I’ve squeezed bits of work in here and there, as my special offer‘s had quite a few more orders coming through. We’ve played around the house each morning and then gone out after lunch – yesterday to a town centre (that is the last time we’ll do that on a Saturday this year – it was hideously busy!) and today to a garden centre and then my in-laws home. Christmas was definitely our theme around the shops, as we treated ourselves to some new tree decorations and enjoyed looking at the pretty displays in the garden centre today.

Here’s a feel for it all..

We bought the baubles and I stood and admired and coveted the Anorak stuff!

We had time for play-doh, puzzles and den-building..

And then got our Christmas on in the garden centre..

And now it’s Sunday evening, another weekend done and dusted. They seem to be flying by at the moment. Here’s hoping the next one’s a little drier, though…

I’m linking up with Snowing Indoors, as we share our weekends in photos. What have you been up to?

  1. This has been one of those weekends I dislike-really hard finding things to do! Like you, littlest refuses to wear any coat at all-even today when it really was bucketing down. We ended up going to choose a second pair of shoes for eldest only to discover that her feet have grown a size since September and she needed new school shoes and new trainers. £82 later it was time to go home!

    1. Oh no! Just what you wanted! It’s hard as I know a walk in the park was what we all needed, but the weather just wasn’t playing ball. Still, made sure we got out & had some fun at home, too

  2. Garden centres are great aren’t they? It looks like you all had a good time. Yesterday was such a sleepy day in our house…except z who was bouncing off the walls some of the time! 🙂

  3. I love the baubles, Annie has her eye on the reindeer one when we put up our tree and those plates are divine, I know if I see those anywhere I’m going to have to buy at least one!
Thanks for joining in with Point + Shoot, looks like a super weekend x
