The summer is now a dim and distant memory. The darker days are drawing in and it’s definitely feeling chillier. The heating is on and it’s so tempting to just stay in and hibernate until the spring! I have always preferred summertime and the warmer months, and there’s no doubt that they are better for us as they get us out and about.
With autumn here and winter drawing in, we do find ourselves indoors that little bit more. We do try to get out at the weekends as it’s important to get as much daylight and exercise as we can, but after school we tend to be inside now rather than in the garden or at the park. This can cause a few health issues, but fortunately there’s an easy remedy.
With the shorter days, less daylight, and people like me wanting to stay inside, Department of Health experts are recommending that during autumn and winter everyone should consider taking a daily supplement containing 10 micrograms of Vitamin D to protect bone and muscle health. To help parents ensure their children meet this level, Bassetts Vitamins have launched their Bassetts Vitamins 3-6 Multivitamins + Vitamin D & Calcium; soft and chewy pastilles to help ensure that little ones are getting their all-important daily Vitamin D during the autumn and winter months. Vitamin D and Calcium are important for children’s development. They each help to support healthy muscle function, healthy teeth and healthy bones – in fact, Vitamin D and Calcium are both necessary for normal bone growth and development in children.
My kids have long been used to taking vitamins each day, and it tends to be Bassetts that I buy. These new ones are proving to be just as popular as Little Man tells me that they taste delicious! They are a unique offering with all the benefits of a standard multivitamin, but with added Vitamin D and Calcium in a Peach and Apricot flavour. They are made with natural flavours and colours, and no added sugar with an RRP of £5.50 for a pack of 30 pastilles. My son is now requesting vitamins several times a day as he loves the flavour! It is just a one a day pastille, don’t worry, I don’t give him more!
As he loves the taste of these so much, they’ll be the ones I buy from now on, and with those added health benefits, it is an easy choice. It’s helpful to have Bassetts Vitamins supporting those fun family moments in this way with their #nodulldays campaign, we can just ensure we keep them busy, active and happy. I don’t need to worry about his health so I can focus on filling the winter days with fun instead!
Our friends at Bassetts Vitamins have also created a fab code that you can use to get £2 off one pack of NEW Bassetts 3-6 Yrs Multivitamins Peach & Apricot + Calcium 30s at Boots.com! Have your little ones tried these?
Disclosure: This is a collaborative post, though all opinions are my own
My boys love these as they see them as sweets so it’s a treat to have one a day 🙂
Exactly! It’s such a great way of keeping them healthy as they see it as a treat 🙂
My girls haven’t tried these but they do take vitamins every day….Since they have been taking theirs they have had less colds which is just great!!
Definitely!
We havent tried any vitamins with Olly as yet as he is so fussy about what he eats. These look great and something we definitely want to try out to make sure he’s getting all best vitamins he can!
Ooh, I think he’d like these, my son loves them!
A great way to ensure all the nutrients they need are going down #TriedTested
Exactly, and he loves having them.
The monkeys used to love having their vitamins! They currently don’t take them though.
My two love taking theirs!
I’ve not yet found a vitamin that my daughter likes so I’ll definitely look out for these. Thanks for the recommendation!
#TriedTested
Hope she likes them!
The twins had to have vitamins when they were born and the doctor said all children should have them till the age of 5. We had best intentions to continue but sometimes we just forget for weeks and then remember again #TriedTested
My kids have always had them, they’d be sure to remind me if I forgot! It’s just a habit now.
We have used these vitamins for many years now – the kids still call them sweets lol. Thanks for linking up with #TriedTested
Mine, too!
My daughter loves taking her vitamins and these ones look even better 🙂 #triedtested
They’re very tasty apparently!
