Today’s a day for talking books, so that makes it a good day! I’ve been working with Books2Door again, and as you know, I love collaborating with them.
If you’re not familiar with them, Books2Door have a huge range of books for all of the family and always at great prices with a speedy delivery service.
They often sell books in collections and sets, along with standalone books.
We love getting stuck into sets here, it’s a great way to just keep on reading! It’s also a nice way to get used to new authors or genres.
I spent some time browsing the bestsellers section, trying to narrow down our choices, and I admit I was struggling to do so. Even if that one section, there are loads to tempt you.
Decisions finally made, I ordered this bundle on Monday evening and it arrived Wednesday morning, which was particularly speedy, I thought. I think the longest I’ve ever waited for a delivery from them has been 3 days, so you will get your books pretty quickly. You’ll be reading in no time.
This time around I was looking for some books for all of us in the house.
Starting with my son, and he loves reading funny books. I’d not heard of Danny Dingle’s Fantastic Finds before so I got a little set of those for him.
Danny Dingles Fantastic Finds is a hilariously fun series filled with comic style illustration and witty invention. Perfect for reluctant readers and popular with both girls and boys alike. Great for fans of Tom Gates and Diary of a Wimpy Kid. For children aged 7-12.
He loves those books mentioned, along with Dog Man and Big Nate, so I think these will be perfect for him.
He tends to read books like this, and then he also enjoys sports books and non fiction.
My daughter reads quickly and loves to get stuck into a series so that she has plenty to read and look forward to as each book is finished. I get this, I love it too, but oh the book hangover after that final instalment in a series can be hard! Have you been there?
She can devour two series’, as of course she couldn’t choose between the sets I suggested for her so she ended up getting two. There were eight in my basket at one point, so two is a win!
She’s gone for the Immortals Series by Alyson Noël and Delirium: The Complete 4 Books Collection By Lauren Oliver.
She reads quite a variety, though she does tend to stick to fiction. She had these books a few days ago and I believe she’s already three books in!
Finally, I went for a series that I am hoping the Husband will enjoy.
He’s not a big reader, but he does like to have a book on the go. He’s struggled lately to find something that really grabs him, so I was looking for something to do that and I hope I’ve found it in these books.
It’s a gripping thriller series featuring rogue FBI agent Jane Hawk.
I was drawn to them as I enjoy Dean Koontz. His Odd Thomas series if one of my favourites, Odd is a great character, and I have read plenty of his standalone books too over the years.
I know he’s a brilliant writer and a few reviews of these suggested something of a Jack Reacher vibe to them, and the Husband likes those books, so hopefully these will go down well.
And me? Well, I’ll read any and all of the above! Admittedly, Danny Dingle isn’t to my usual reading taste, but I’ll definitely read those Dean Koontz books and I do read YA from time to time and I really like the look of both of the series’ my girl has chosen. Plenty to keep me busy, along with my huge TBR pile, don’t worry about me running out of books any time soon…any time this century!
As I’ve mentioned here before, Books2Door have also launched a delivery service which is well worth a look if you’re like us and often buying books.
They offer a PLUS+ delivery service, with both Silver and Gold membership options.
You can pay an annual fee for all of your delivery costs, you just need to add your chosen membership to your cart when buying books to get going with this. Choose from:
PLUS+ SILVER = Pay a £6.95 one-off fee and get all orders delivered for the next 12 months (standard shipping, 3-5 working days)
PLUS+ GOLD = Pay a £9.95 one-off fee and get all orders delivered for the next 12 months (express shipping, 1-2 working days)
As I’ve said many times before, Books2Door is well worth a look if you’re like us and love to read, and I think it’s perfect for those of you who mightn’t read that much but want to do so. Books are priced well and a good series is a fantastic way to get you into the habit of reading.
What do you think of my choices? Would any of these bestsellers go down well in your house?
