I bought Little Man a Bizzy Bear book for Christmas, Bizzy Bear: Pirate Adventure . I was drawn to it, as it has chunky sliders to push and pull, and he loves things like this but invariably rips them, but he cannot with these ones – they are very chunky!
I’m pleased to say that he loves it! So much so, that he asks for this to be read to him daily, and so I bought him another in the series last week, Bizzy Bear: Fun on the Farm – another hit!
We were then fortunate enough to receive Bizzy Bear: Off We Go and Bizzy Bear: Fire Rescue from the fabulous team over at Nosy Crow – thanks so much to them.
We now read every one of them every day – he has to have the complete set, you understand?! These are such lovely little books, only a few pages long with simple stories. They are surviving in Little Man’s bookshelves, and I have to say not all do as he can be destructive and a bit of a ripper! I can’t recommend these enough for little ones, and am already buying a few more up for presents!

My son is always ripping the pages of books. I love a good solid chunky book that we can read over and over again without flimsy pages. Thanks for sharing hun.

Ripped books make me so sad but I think handling books regularly is the only way they learn to be careful with them – I love that these are nice and sturdy 🙂
