Blog Progress Report June 2021

Welcome to this month’s blog progress report.

I’m not too sure where this month has gone, it’s flown by!

It’s been a stop start month for me as I’ve had some time off this month, days here and there, so I have then made the most of the time that I am at my desk. It’s made me feel focused and productive on those days, so I feel it has been a good month.

I have really felt Bring Back Paper this month as I have had a lovely month myself in books!

I particularly enjoyed putting together the Patreon Bring Back Paper Memberships happy mail parcels this month, lots of lovely stationery, and the activity that we are running there in June is one we’ve never tried before so I am excited about that.

We have a  great group or paper-loving folks over there and it’s a real pleasure designing new writing paper for them every month and coming up with fresh activities each time.

I have received some lovely happy mail from the Bring Back Paper community, and this has sparked some new content as I share what I’ve received in my mailbox. This will be on the blog and my YouTube channel this coming week.

Speaking of YouTube, I am pleased to have got two new videos up this month and already have plans for my July content. Regular readers will know this is an area I keep starting and stopping on, so this feels positive and I plan to keep that ball rolling!

The Bring Back Paper Facebook group continues to grow, and there have been some fun chats over there this month.

This month we have had a book swap and we also had the book readalong, both kept me busy and these activities are attracting more people every month. I have a feeling next month’s activity will see me swamped, so I am bracing myself for that!

It’s been good to see my Etsy store ticking over this month as I haven’t given it much attention. I have started working on several new products, though, so they should be in store soon.

There will be new Pen Pal Fun Packs and then some brand new products, so it’s been fun working on those.

I have been steadily working my way through my SEO course, and this will continue next month. There are hours upon hours worth of content to get through!

As always, my newsletters have been going out with Flodesk, my newsletter provider, and I am still yet to tire of these. Getting these ready remains a weekly work highlight!

If you’re on the lookout for an email provider for your business they do offer free trials and if you use my affiliate link to sign up with, you will also get 50% off the monthly fee. Here’s the Flodesk link, do let me know if you give them a go, I’d love to hear your experiences with them.

Plans for next month

Next month I will be running my most popular Bring Back Paper monthly activity, so I am setting aside a few days to work on that as it is that big an undertaking. I love it, but it takes a lot of time to do.

As I have been designing for my Etsy store, I plan to get new products available over there and promote those.

As always, there will be a Bring Back Paper readalong, so I will be promoting that and reading along!

I am looking forward to preparing my Patreon members happy mail, so I will be getting those parcels ready and posted out, along with running July’s activity over there.

As I have got some fresh content on YouTube I want to shoot for at least fortnightly uploads for now and then I am hoping that when that becomes a habit I can move to weekly. It’s been interesting as I am picking up new followers there and they are then discovering all things #BringBackPaper and joining in. This is also the case over on Instagram when I use the hashtag there and share on my Stories weekly.

Blog content will keep on going up, of course, and I’d like to start a new series next month so I need to get busy preparing for that.

And that SEO course is still there. I must keep going with it!

When I stand back and look at these plans, I think the bigger picture idea is to get that course finished by the end of the summer and to keep products, blog and YouTube content coming. I am very aware that the kids will be home with me before I know it, so I think these goals are achievable whilst they are at home. I can then push on with some new ideas from September, which I look forward to sharing with you then.

It was last August when I decided to make changes to the way I work and how I’d grow my business, so I will have a good reflect back on all plans when that anniversary rolls round and I think it will spur me on to the next stage then. Exciting times!

What are your thoughts on my activities and plans?
