Blog Progress Report October 2021

Welcome to this month’s blog progress report.

As we come to the end of  October, I do feel quite cheerful!

I have made progress towards the goals I shared a couple of months ago and I am creating new routines that seem to be working well for me.

I am enjoying the variety that working towards my goals brings, as I am dipping into different things every couple of days, which keeps it interesting and fresh for me.

Looking back on the plans I had for the month, I have made progress in all areas.

My YouTube channel was top of the list and not only have I ticked that box this month, I am now enjoying it!

I wanted to launch a stationery giveaway to help me get back into it and in a bid to hit 1000 subscribers. Well, I am pleased to say that it worked and am now over 1000 subscribers on my channel. Have you subscribed yet? If not, please do!

I have stayed on track with my plan to upload weekly, and I am enjoying thinking up the content I want to share on the channel. I upload every Wednesday, and it’s been fun filming the videos and it’s challenging me to learn more about the platform. I do hope you’re enjoying the videos I am sharing?

Bring Back Paper Memberships

The Patreon memberships were my next are of focus and I was keen to find ways to improve and develop them.

As such, I launched new tiers over there at the end of September, along with including a special joining offer running for this month, to celebrate the new options.

I took on board your feedback and thoughts around this one, and worked to develop a variety membership options to tick these boxes.

I am really pleased with the options and variety I am now offering and it’s been great to see my Patreon memberships having their greatest growth since I launched them at the end of last year.

I’ll continue to develop and promote these as I want them to continue to grow and offer my members some papery happiness each month.

My third key area of focus was to get new products into JocelynLovesPaper over on Etsy, and continue to grow my store.

This has been great to work on too, and I have created a new product this month, a Pen Pal Tracker, along with two new Pen Pal Fun Packs.

This has felt like a manageable amount of work, so I am hoping to continue adding new products at a similar rate going forward.

As always, I have been keen to to grow and maintain Bring Back Paper through arranging the postcard mailing, the book readalong, writing blogs, sharing papery things on my InstaStories, promoting the content and sending out my newsletters.

The Bring Back Paper Facebook group has been busy and continues to grow. I regularly share posts over there and enjoy chatting with members.

Of course, my newsletters have still been going out with Flodesk, my newsletter provider, and my subscriber numbers grow weekly.

My newsletter goes out every Friday lunchtime (UK time) and I tend to put it together mid-week.

If you’re on the lookout for an email provider for your business they do offer free trials and if you use my affiliate link to sign up with, you will also get 50% off the monthly fee. Here’s the Flodesk link, do let me know if you give them a go, I’d love to hear your experiences with them.

Plans for next month

More of the same, I think!

I do feel like I have refocused in different areas and I am keen to continue the growth that I am now seeing in those areas.

I do need to build in more time to share and promote content, too, and work on SEO for my blog, channel and store.

I am happy that I am now on track with what I am creating, but I know I could do more around getting it out there and showing up in search results.

I would like to add another new printable to my store, something we’ve not see before, and I want to get a content plan together for both the blog and YouTube channel that will see me through until the end of the year. I will get working on those early next month.

I can see November being a busy month, I am looking forward to seeing what it will bring!

What are your thoughts on my activities and plans?
