Blog Progress Report September 2022

Welcome to this month’s blog progress report.

With the end of September in sight, it’s time to share what I’ve been up to this month and my plans for next month.

It’s been a busy and productive month, I have enjoyed getting back into the swing of things. Let me tell you more….

As I mentioned at the end of last month, I wanted to have a productive September, getting back into the swing of things after the summer break.

I spent some time early in the month thinking about what I’d like to achieve over the coming months and how I would like to grow and develop things.

I came up with several new things that I would like to try, along with maintaining and developing other areas.

I’ve prioritised these, so I am hoping to work on them one by one, in a logical order. Now, those of you who know me, will know that when I have ideas, I just want to do them all immediately! So I am trying to be patient this time and do everything thoroughly without giving myself burnout from going at it all too hard!

blog planning

The first place that it made sense for me to start was on my Patreon memberships, so that’s where most of my time has been spent this month.

I spent the first few days of the month getting everyone’s mail out to them, and then I asked for some feedback on what else people would like to see me offering.

Armed with that knowledge (thanks very much to those of you who let me know!) I then made some changes to my memberships.

There are now more benefits than ever on offer over there, from the very first tier and up.

I wanted to do something that benefited every single member, hence working from Tier 1 on this, whilst keeping everything else in place.

I shared all about it in my New Patreon Benefits post a couple of weeks ago.

You can pop and check out all of the tiers available and what we’re up to over at Patreon

As always, blog posts have been written and posted twice a week and my newsletters are going out with Flodesk, every week again. They go out every Friday lunchtime (UK time) and share the latest posts, videos, details of all activities running and there’s usually some extra inspiration in there too. If you want to ensure you don’t miss any new content, old favourites and the latest activities and products, do ensure you’re signed up to that.

The Bring Back Paper Facebook group has continued to grow, we are getting lots of new members. I love spending time there!

I have also returned to my YouTube channel this month, having taken some time away over the summer.

We are back to weekly papery uploads, every Wednesday, and this is definitely an area that I am looking to grow over the coming months.

I share a variety of videos there, and I’ve had some fresh ideas for content. If you’re yet to check that out, please do subscribe to my channel and hit the notifications button so that you see my videos weekly. It’s all things #BringBackPaper.

I then designed a new Pen Pal Fun Pack and got that into my Pen Pal Etsy store. I haven’t added a new one for a while, so it was great to be back at that again.

There have also been several behind the scenes admin type things happening that I want to increase and then maintain going forward.

And in addition to this work, my brother and I are  also continuing to work on our venture, so do check us out at Books and Brew Club

Plans for next month

My main focus will be in maintaining everything I have done this month.

I have added a fair few things to my working weeks, so I am keen to ensure that all of these things continue, and to a good standard, before throwing more things into the mix.

That said, because it is me, I will need to start working on something new to keep things fun for me next month. You knew I would!

There are a couple of things that I am keen to try next, but given that one of them will take up a lot more time than the other, I will play it by ear as I get working on everything else and see what I manage to make time for towards the end of the month.

I tend to find that around the third or fourth week of the month, I have completed my Patreon work, written posts for the month and finished the admin stuff I need to do, so that’s when I can get going on new ideas. We will see how far I get next month!

What are your thoughts on my activities and plans?
