Welcome to this month’s book readalong! As you know, I absolutely love the book readalong, it’s always one of my favourite #BringBackPaper activities.
If you’ve yet to join in with one of these readalongs, let me tell you a little more about it and tempt you to join us.
The book readalong is an easy activity to get involved with as it’s like an online book club. I will always share the book here, usually a week or so before the month that we will be reading it in, to give you time to get your copy. Then the #BringBackPaper online book club is open to absolutely everyone, so do feel free to come and readalong with us.
The book readalong is a great way to read something that you might not have picked up yourself, and I try to change up the genres from month to month to keep things interesting.
I have chosen a new book for February for us. I have seen this book crop up so many times on my Instagram feed (of course I follow lots of bookish accounts there!) that I knew we just had to read it. Let’s find out what it’s all about together.

February Book Readalong
So onto February’s book to readalong with, and it’s The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot by Marianne Cronin…
A little about this month’s book read-along:
Life is short.
No-one knows that better than seventeen-year-old Lenni. But as she is about to learn, it’s not only what you make of life that matters, but who you share it with.
Dodging doctor’s orders, she joins an art class where she bumps into fellow patient Margot, a rebel-hearted eight-three-year-old from the next ward. Their bond is instant as they realize that together they have lived an astonishing one hundred years.
To celebrate their shared century, they decide to paint their life stories: of growing old and staying young, of giving joy, of receiving kindness, of losing love, of finding the person who is everything.
As their friendship deepens, it becomes vividly clear that life is not done with Lenni and Margot yet.
