Book Readalong November 2023

Welcome to this month’s book readalong. As you know, I absolutely love the book readalong, it’s always one of my favourite #BringBackPaper activities.

If you’ve yet to join in with one of these readalongs, let me tell you a little more about it and tempt you to join us.

The book readalong is an easy activity to get involved with as it’s like an online book club. I will always share the book here, usually a week or so before the month that we will be reading it in, to give you time to get your copy.  Then the #BringBackPaper online book club is open to absolutely everyone, so do feel free to come and readalong with us.

The book readalong is a great way to read something that you might not have picked up yourself, and I try to change up the genres from month to month to keep things interesting.

I have chosen a new book for us to read during November. I think this might be a book readalong first, as I’ve actually chosen a book by an author we’ve read together before. I know so many of you loved that one, so I couldn’t resist choosing this one for us for next month.

November Book Readalong

So onto November’s book to readalong with, and it’s Life and Otter Miracles by Hazel Prior…

A little about this month’s book read-along:

Down by the river, Phoebe Featherstone is about to make a life-changing discovery . . .

Clever, nosy Phoebe is unable to get out much, but she has a talent for uncovering her neighbours’ secrets by examining the parcels delivered by her courier father, Al.

When they discover an abandoned baby otter on the riverbank, Phoebe must step out of her comfort zone – and she experiences an unexpected sense of happiness that she has not felt in a very long time. But now, further secrets are coming to light.

Phoebe soon realizes that something is amiss at the local otter sanctuary. She will need to overcome her own closely guarded issues and put all her sleuthing skills to good use if she wants to save the otters . . . and in the process, change her life for ever.

The book readalong is really simple to join in with, you just need to get yourself a copy of the book and read it at some point during November. Let us know that you’re joining in by dropping by the Facebook group to chat about it, or tweet or Instagram your book with the hashtags #BringBackPaper #BookReadalong. If you’re not on social media, then it matters not, you can join in and not tell the world what you’re up to!

  1. I have this book on my list for the Library. They don’t have it yet so I will keep checking on it. Thank you for your blog. I look forward to reading it every week. Have a great weekend.
