It’s that time when we’re starting to get festive and if we’re getting festive in our real lives, we probably want to be festive in our happy mail lives too! Now’s the time to start putting together Christmas happy mail to give it time to arrive with your friends, especially if they’re overseas.
Today I’m sharing a few of my posts and videos around this mail theme to give you some ideas and some printables.
Christmas cards – to send or not?
It’s to send in this house!
I shared this post musing about this a while back, and I’d say sending Christmas cards has got to be the easiest Christmas mail idea of them all!
Grab some cards, write them, send them, done!
Or you might want to combine cards with little extras or I know some people use them as a chance to share a chatty letter too.
Christmas Themed Happy Mail Projects
The sky’s the limit!
Get your supplies out, use festive themed paper, stickers or washi or just go for Christmassy colours if you don’t have things like that in your stash.

Send letters to Santa
This one’s got to be done with your kids, it’s such a lovely tradition.
My two wrote letters to Santa from as soon as they could write letters!
This Christmas writing paper is perfect for writing their Santa letters on, and is also cute to use for your own happy mail.
Use festive paper
Along with the above design, you could use this sweet hot chocolate and gingerbread man writing paper or perhaps you’ll like this winter writing paper I shared a couple of weeks ago.
These are all free to download and print from here now, so go for it!
Alternatively, you might want to get one of my Pen Pal Fun Packs from my Etsy store. There’s a Christmas design, a Penguins design or a Winter Wonderland design to keep things feeling festive.
Add festive extras
I shared sending Christmas snail mail a few years back with some simple pointers around theming your happy mail and ideas for Christmassy extras you could pop in with your letter.
There’s also this video around Christmas happy mail treats…
Are you ready and eager to create a little Christmas happy mail now?
I’ve actually only just created some myself, and yet writing this has me wanting to spend the whole day doing more. I might just do that!
And to round it all off, you can keep track of everything from mail to cards to gifts to tasks with this free Christmas to-do list!
Will you be creating festive themed mail this year?
