Easy Rice Pudding Recipe

For those of you who follow me on Instagram and watch my Stories, today’s post will come as no surprise to you. In fact, many of you have been asking me for an easy rice pudding recipe and it was only a matter of time, wasn’t it?! Lately, I have been making a lot of rice puddings. We have one at least once a week, in fact, I think there was a week when I made one every other day! If it’s not a banana loaf in the oven, it is a rice pudding. Anyway, suffice to say that I love rice pudding. I loved it as a child, and now as an adult, I not only love eating it, I also love the simplicity of making it. It takes me less than five minutes to make, with just a few ingredients, and then I get to eat something delicious. As I know lots of you want to eat this too, today I am sharing my super easy rice pudding recipe with you.

Easy Rice Pudding Recipe

Ingredients:

700ml Semi Skimmed Milk
100g Pudding Rice
50g Sugar
Knob of Margarine/Butter
Sprinkle of Nutmeg (optional)

Recipe:

Pre-heat your oven to 150°c.

Get out a large oven-proof bowl and line it with margarine or butter. Cover the base and the sides in a thin layer.

Pour in your pudding rice, sugar and milk, then stir all ingredients together.

Sprinkle a little nutmeg across the top of the pudding, if you would like to.

Put the bowl into the oven for 2 hours.

And you are done! You can now ignore your rice pudding until it is ready for you in two hours time. Oh, and enjoy the smell as it cooks, such a wonderful smell!
