Gardening Fun With The Kids

We’ve been doing a lot of work out in our back garden lately. So, the children have also been out there ‘helping’! They both love going outside, and Little Man can actually only be lured back inside with the promise of food!

Boo’s enjoyed planting sunflower seeds with her auntie…

and tending to her own mini-garden…

Little Man has spent a fair bit of time playing with his mud-pie kitchen. Mud and kitchen utensils are a perfect mix for toddlers 🙂

And they’ve generally been playing, balls, golf, running about, jumping, exploring, finding earth worms and ladybirds – you name it, they’ve been doing it!

garden fun

It’s nice to have this glimpse of summer. Last year, Little Man was too young to be racing about the garden, whereas this year, I’m seeing plenty of al fresco lunches, paddling pool action, tuff spot adventures and listening to them both playing and squealing with delight whilst I tend my newly landscaped garden. It’s also the last summer that we’ll have like this, as Boo starts school in September. Yes, I know she’ll have after school and holidays and weekends, but it’s not the same as seemingly endless days together, so we will be making it count out there.
