Gizmo Saves Christmas!

December is on the horizon now. Christmas music is playing, shops are becoming chaotic, trees are going up, presents are getting wrapped, so I think I can now talk freely about Christmas without it being ‘too early’! I want to talk about Christmas ads, as they seem to be such a huge deal now and a real part of the countdown to Christmas. Today I want to share with you a Christmas advert for animal-lovers, as Vision Direct releases its Christmas campaign for 2016.

It is the story of Gizmo the pug, who you may remember from their viral ad last year. Here he is…

How cute?

And his adversary…

This year the video plays on the familiar theme of festive neighbourhood rivalry as well as the age old dog vs. cat debate. It reminds me of those Christmas movies where the neighbours try to outdo each other with their lights and decorations, and then the dog versus cat theme is a classic. It features Vision Direct’s brand mascot, Mr Gizmo the pug, as well as a new character, Cuddles the cat. Do take a look….

Ah, so adorable! That pug didn’t let the rivalry get the better of him, he still saves the day, clever little fella! I do like this one, as the animals are both very sweet and though there is rivalry between them, Christmas spirit comes to the fore and transcends their little spat.

You can pop over to Vision Direct to see the video and there are competitions and fun and games as part of their festive countdown advent calendar.

Vision Direct is the UK’s first and longest running online only contact lens retailer, having been trusted by hundreds of thousands of customers to deliver affordable and high quality eye care since 1998. It is now the largest online retailer of contact lenses, solutions and eye care products in Europe.

Could this be up there with one of your festive favourites this year? It’s all about #pugxmas!
