My baby boy is three years old today. Three years ago today I was in the hospital, having a planned C Section and holding my son for the first time. How that time has flown.
Today he’ll be thoroughly spoilt. We will be off to Thomasland for the day, he will be receiving loads of toys, many of them with a Star Wars theme and also money so that he can go out and buy more tomorrow, on ‘Force Friday’ when all of the new Star Wars toys are released! He’ll be blowing the candles out on his Stormtrooper cake, and I so look forward to seeing his little face when he sees that. It’s going to be a good day.
And as the day ends, after I tuck him up into bed tonight, I’ll sit down and write in his birthday book, as I do on the evening of the kids’ birthdays every year.
I’ll tell him about the past year, what he’s been up to and what he’s doing now. I will tell him he is cheeky, adorable, cuddly, bright and adventurous. I will tell him how much he is loved by all of his family, how much his big sister adores him and how lucky we are to have him in our lives.
Three. He is growing up so quickly now. Yet he is still my baby boy. Always will be.
Happy Birthday, my beautiful boy.
