I Am Learning Again….

I am learning again, with Skillshare, and I am really enjoying it.

I do receive a fair few emails each day and I have to admit that the one from Skillshare pretty much passed me by. Until I happened to look at it when the Husband was around and mentioned it to him and he said he’d heard of them. He follows a few hand lettering accounts on Instagram and apparently lots of them mention it there. Ah, OK, this might be interesting then. And so I investigated further and yes, yes it is very interesting!

If you’ve not heard of Skillshare, let me tell you a bit about them:

Skillshare is an online learning community with thousands of classes in design, business, tech, and more. Anyone can join the millions of members in our community to learn cutting-edge skills, network with peers and discover new opportunities.

As I have come on board as an ambassador for them, I have received a three month trial and let me tell you, I can squeeze a lot of learning out of that time!

When you first sign up, Skillshare prompts you to select a few areas of interest so that it can then suggest a few classes for you. I can tell you now that there will be so many classes that you will click on and add to your class list at the outset. This is a great way to get going with Skillshare as you then have a list to pop over to whenever you have some time and you can jump straight into a video. They can vary significantly in time, as I have watched some that are twenty minutes and then others have been an hour and a half. Each class is broken down into different sections so you can easily jump around and watch them and revisit the specific section that you want to if you need to check on a point again.

If you have enjoyed a class, you can choose to follow that teacher so that you see what else they have to offer.

I am a very visual person so this style of learning works really well for me. It engages me and it stays in my head. I have watched a variety of classes from productivity tips to social media inspiration to hand lettering to freelancing skills to SEO to sketching and illustration. And I know that I have barely scraped the surface, there are so many more classes waiting for me in my list!

Get 2 Months Free On Skillshare

Skillshare currently offer a free one month trial, which I think represents great value as you can take an unlimited number of classes in that time. Even better, as an ambassador, I have a coupon code giving people two free months, it’s igamb2781.

Enter this over on their website or click on the Skillshare links within this post and you will gain unlimited access to their thousands of online classes for a full two months trial. There are no commitments when you sign up and you can cancel at anytime.

I cannot begin to tell you how much we have all been enjoying this, and I do say all. The Husband has been taking a few of the hand lettering and modern calligraphy classes, I have been looking at some of the business, content marketing and social media classes and we have all been enjoying some of the more creative classes. For example, all four of us sat down and watched a class about drawing cute animals, sketching away and having a go. The kids absolutely loved it, which means that now every weekend we find a new class together and try it. Skillshare has become a family thing!

What do you think? Do you fancy learning something new this month? If so, do use that free trial code and let me know how you get on.

Disclosure: I am a Skillshare Ambassador, meaning that I do receive a small commission for every sign up.
