When it comes to stocking up on wholesale clothing, specifically sweatshirts, there are definitely some helpful tips you can abide by. If your goal is to maximize your sales, as most wholesale boutique owners’ goals are, then you want to make sure you are selecting the most popular styles. Which may seem like a no brainer, however with the ever changing trends, and with how fickle buyers may be, figuring out what exactly are the most popular styles can be challenging.
Have no fear though, I can help you figure out the sweatshirts you should go with when selecting your wholesale clothing. There are a lot of variables to consider, even once you know the trending styles. Variables like the changing seasons. What is trending in summer will definitely not be trending in spring. And even if the styles remain popular year round, the weather alone will make it so that you need to be stocking sweatshirts for both spring and summer. Below are some insider tips for choosing women’s sweatshirts for spring and summer.
Spring
Spring is the time of year when winter is transitioning into summer. The sun seems to be shining longer, and warmer. The flowers are blossoming, and birds seem to be chirping excitedly.
However, even though spring symbolizes summer being right around the corner, it’s not here quite yet. Spring still consists of cool, breezy days. Yes the daytime sun may be warmer than the winter months, but you still need a sweater most of the time. However, the material needed is far less than needed in winter months.
For spring sweatshirts, say goodbye to materials such as fleece and heavy cotton, and say hello to light weight cotton and lightweight knits. Knitted sweatshirts are perfect for springtime, because you are getting the warmth however the light weight knit allows for breathability. The lighter the knit, the larger the holes, allowing for the crips spring air to flow through. Also, fitted sweatshirts are a better option in spring time, as you need less material than you would in winter time. One style that works great for both spring and summer is the zip up sweatshirt. The zip up allows you to control the temperature easily, without having to remove your sweatshirt or even tie it around your waist.
Summer
Similarly to spring, summer sweatshirts are better when they are fitted than oversized. Oversized sweatshirts tend to be bulkier, and made with a thicker cotton material that is not suited for hot summer months. When people think of summer apparel they tend not to even consider sweatshirts. However, they’d be wrong. There is a whole style of sweatshirt made
specifically for hot summer weather. My two favourite styles that seem to always be on trend, are the crop top sweatshirts, and the short sleeve or sleeveless sweatshirts.
Crop top sweatshirts can be paired perfectly with cut off high waisted jean shorts. Likewise, short sleeve or even sleeveless sweatshirts are perfect for summer nights. No matter where you live in the world, during the summer months once the sun goes down it may get a little bit cooler.
Perhaps not cool enough for a jacket, but not warm enough to remain in a tank top. This is where both of these sweatshirt options come in handy. Keep your shorts and flip flops on, just throw a short sleeve sweatshirt over your tank and remain in style while keeping up with the changing weather.
To Sum Up
So when it comes to inside tips for choosing women’s sweatshirts for spring and summer, material matters. Stay away from heavy cotton, fleece, and oversized styles. Look for lighter materials, zip up options, and even some barely there crop top sweatshirts. You can’t go wrong with any of these, for both spring and summer.
