Today I’m happy to be introducing a new stationery brand to you, Say Nice Things Stationery. Their online store opened this month and I was delighted to be amongst the first people to receive a bundle of papery gorgeousness from them.
When you pop over to Say Nice Things it’s clear from every word that they have a great love for stationery, as well as being passionate about ensuring their products are all made here in the UK.
The founder Jill shares with us her early love of stationery, which I have now doubt will resound with most stationery fans…
‘Brochures, forms, envelopes; the smell of ink on paper. I devoured it all. School always came with the ritual of new exercise books and with those, the promise of new beginnings. My love grew deeper and continued into adulthood. To this day, each notebook and journal heralds a fresh start; whether it be a poem, work project or simply planning a holiday. Once it’s written down my mind is tidy and organised… saved to my stationery memory bank that will never forget.’
My initial impressions about the brand are that I love the ‘wink’ logo. As well as it making me smile, I think it’s instantly recognisable as without even realising that I’d noticed it, when my package arrived with the wink logo sticker on it, I knew who it was from. And yes, I was excited!
On opening it up, I had…
I received a Curtis A5 Journal, a Curtis A5 Notebook and the Love Notes 8 Postcard Set.
All were beautifully packaged in tissue paper and the journal and notebook come in a cardboard case. I think this does give the stationery a luxurious feel and is sure to be appreciated by the recipient.
The journal is a hardback, with a sleek and subtle design. Inside are 192 pages, split up into 6 different sections. There are 4 lined sections, 1 doodle section with sketching and colouring pages and 1 perpetual 12 month calendar for forward planning. There is also a rear pocket and elastic closure. There’s plenty of space in here to gather your thoughts, make plans, and doodle away.
You’ll spot the Say Nice Things logo at the bottom of each page, too, a nice little touch.
As with the journal, the notebook has a hard cover that is soft to the touch. Inside this one are 128 pages. There is a good mixture of designs, as within those 128 pages there are 95 lined pages, 16 plain pages and 17 grid pages as pictured above. There is also a black elastic closure, a feature that I like to see as it keeps all of the pages neat when travelling about in my bag.
The set of 8 post cards are pretty and fun. Each of these can also be bought separately, and my favourite thing about them is actually the envelopes – do you see that little heart closure in the picture there? How gorgeous?!
It is these little extra details that run through the range, from the packaging to the products themselves, along with the quality that make Say Nice Things Stationery one to watch. I will certainly be keen to see what they bring out next, and in the meantime, I am off to scribble away on my new paper!
Say Nice Things Stationery offer free delivery on all orders over £30 and the shop is open now.
Disclosure: I received these items FOC for the purposes of this post
What a gorgeous selection, I just love the name of the company too.
It’s lovely, isn’t it? Definitely one to watch.

I’m going to try the Curtis Notebook!
Is the cover truly soft to the touch Jocelyn?
Enjoy it! It’s tricky to describe, it’s smooth, and yes, I’d say soft as I can’t think of a better word to describe it!
