Ah, we are nearly there. Christmas is almost upon us, are you ready for it?
My two break up from school today, the Christmas holidays officially begin at 3.30pm today. They are excited. They have been excited for at least a month, if not more. It’s been growing every single week, they are just about ready to pop! Over the last week or so we have had Little Man’s nativity performance, Boo’s carol concert, their whole school has attended a pantomime, they’ve had Christmas parties in their classrooms and a school Christmas dinner. As if they weren’t excited enough, school life has whipped them up into a frenzy!
I am all set. I think? Yep, I am. All gifts have been bought and wrapped. Cards have been sent. The food has been ordered and plans all put into place and agreed. Today I will spend the day tying up a few loose ends of blog admin, and then cleaning. Why do I always feel the need to clean the house from top to bottom before the kids break up for Christmas? It’s a weird urge! I will be ready to then relax and have fun with them from the moment they come home from school. I plan to have the fortnight off work with them, playing games, watching films, eating loads of food!
We haven’t got loads planned in, which is just how I like it for the Christmas holidays. I like the children to have time to laze around, play with their new things, recharge their batteries. The Husband breaks up on Christmas Eve until 2nd January, so he has a good break with us all. We’ll probably have a couple of days out at parks or National Trust properties, to get some fresh air. We will be catching up with family and friends. We’ll hit the sales at some point. And then we will lounge about, taking each day as it comes. I am so looking forward to it!
So I will sign off here for a little while. Thank you so much for reading and supporting me this year, it has been hugely appreciated. And thank you for your wonderful feedback following my redesign a couple of months ago. It reinvigorated me and I can’t wait to get cracking on creating more content for you in 2019. I’ll no doubt still be bobbing around on social media over the festive period, so I will see you there, and in the meantime, Merry Christmas!
Enjoy your break! I hope you have a wonderful Christmas x
Thanks and you too! x
