Today I want to share with you my Mosen Blackhead Remover Vacuum review.
Updated 26/3/21, read on for more!
I had seen these blackhead vacuum remover ads popping up all over social media and I was curious, and a little sceptical. But I took the plunge and thought it would be useful to share my findings on this one as I am sure many of you are curious and sceptical too.

What is a blackhead vacuum remover?
These are easy to use, handheld vacuums for your skin.
They help to clean your pores and remove any dirt that your facial wash might not be able to do.
How to use a Blackhead Remover Vacuum
They are actually quite simple to use and this one comes with instructions.
Prior to using it, it’s best to open up your pores. I use mine after a shower and find that that works well.
Click it on to the setting that you wish to use and move it across your skin. It’s best to start on a low setting as you get used to it and then you can adjust as required.
Select a setting to suit your skin type and you will soon find what works for you. I tried a higher setting for a short period one week and found that it did cause slight bruising and it dried out my skin.
You should continuously move the vacuum across your skin, not staying in one spot for too long.
After using it, I splash my face with cold water to close up my pores a little before moisturising.
The heads detach easily so you can then wash them in warm soapy water, ready for the next use.
You will probably only need to use this once a week, twice at the most.
Mosen Blackhead Remover Vacuum Review
I have to say I have been surprised and impressed with this. The Mosen Blackhead Remover Vacuum does do what it claims to do.
I decided to buy it as I’ve always had combination skin and I was intrigued to find out whether this was going to be any good for it. I am also aware that my daughter is growing up and about to encounter all of the joys of teen skin and thought this might come in handy for her at some point too.
The Mosen Blackhead Vacuum Remover comes with a cable so that you can charge it easily, and you will have a variety of heads to choose from and use.
All heads detach and click into place easily. There is also an instruction manual that comes with it to get you started.
I’ve had it for a little over a month now, I use it once a week and it does a good job of cleaning out my pores.
I use the oily skin setting on its lowest mode and it cleans it well. It is definitely more effective after opening up your pores, so I always ensure I do this.
My skin feels smoother after I use it and it’s surprising how much it can clear out each week.
I like how effective it is and how low maintenance this is as part of my regular skin care routine.
I have used face strips in the past and they are not as good as this at clearing my pores. This is also faster as it takes literally a few minutes weekly and it’s much cheaper in the long run as it is a one-time purchase.
I have seen claims that it reduces your pores over time too. I’ve only been using this for four weeks so far and am yet to be sure that that is happening. I’ll keep looking for that extra bonus!

Edited and updated 26/3/21:
I no longer use this as I have started to take more interest in skincare and now understand that using pore vacuums can cause damage to your pores and skin barrier.
There is no doubt that this gadget does what it is supposed to do, I just don’t want it to do that any more! I have chosen to now use gentler and more skin-friendly methods such as double cleansing with an oil based cleanser first, using acid exfoliants and retinol and clay masks. These may well work for you, too, though of course all used in moderation and not all at the same time!
