We spent last week in Paris and we all absolutely loved it. We enjoyed 3 nights in the city and then 3 nights in Disneyland Paris and we felt it was the perfect amount of time to explore both places.
The Husband and I have been to Paris a couple of times before and already loved the city so we were keen to take the kids.
We were there for a few of the days with my brother, sister-in-law and niece. We spent some time exploring Paris with them and they visited Disneyland for a day too.
As it’s such a short flight, it all felt so easy and relaxing to go over there, makes me think we should do again sometime soon!
Everyone was so friendly, the city was beautiful and we all enjoyed the delicious food.
We walked around a fair bit. I don’t think there was a day all week that we walked less than ten miles, so we did take in some wonderful sights.
We took the kids to see the Eiffel Tower, walked over to the Arc de Triomphe, shopped the Champs Elysees, admired Notre Dame, popped by the Louvre and visited the Musee D’Orsay.
We had a full day there with my brother and his family and made the most of it by getting hop on and off boat tickets to get around and take a trip along the Seine.
It’s hard to pick my absolute favourite moments, but I think it was probably the little moments, the pauses to take it all in.
Our first glimpse of the Eiffel Tower, walking across a bridge. Sitting for a snack and a rest in the Jardin des Tuileries. Strolling along the Seine one evening, seeing people relaxing on the banks with friends and family.
We didn’t go with a full agenda, we just wanted to stroll around the city and see where it took us and I think that worked for us. We weren’t rushing to get to places or trying to cram too much in. And yet looking back over it, we did see and do so much and we all loved Paris.
I’ll share a post all about Disneyland Paris soon, though in the meantime if you’d like to see what we got up to there, I’ve added our trip to my Instagram highlights so you can take a look.
Have you visited Paris? What were your highlights?
It sounds like you had a wonderful holiday and really made the most of your time in Paris. Fab photos! x
We really did, missing it already! Thanks x
Hi Jocelyn, so glad you enjoyed your visit to Paris! Muse D’Orsay is one of my favorite places. Someday I will return and be able to spend the entire day there! (Instead of our quick visit)
We did, thanks! I adore that museum, one of my favourite places too so it was great to take the kids there. Hope you get back there soon!
