Peppa Pig’s Oinkestra

Hands-up if you watch Peppa Pig in your household? Oh, we do, over and over again! The children both love Peppa, so when we heard about the Nick Jr. Oinkestra celebrations, we were keen to get involved.

July 5th marks 10 years since Peppa Pig was first broadcast on Nick Jr. So to commemorate, fans can join in and upload their own oinks to join in with Peppa Pig’s Oinkestra at Nick Jr or through the Nick Jr. UK Facebook page, and receive a Peppa Pig activity pack.

Celebrations culminate with the Oink-a-thon, where Nick Jr. will be showing the top 20 Peppa Pig episodes, voted for by fans, on the 5-6th July, 10.30am-5.00pm. I have no doubt that we will be tuning in! I’m hoping to see the pancake episode, and I always love to see them jumping in those muddy puddles.

We have received our instruments ready to create musical masterpieces…

We had a party lunch-break to celebrate and fuel the kids ready for their preformance…

And then it was time for the Oinkestra to get going!

The kids had loads of fun with this and delighted in making loads of noise, as you can imagine! We also made little pig noses from an egg carton – paint pink, add a couple of nostrils, and you there you have it!

To ramp up those piggy celebrations, Nick Jr. have also offered me 3 Nick Jr. goody bags to give away, to 3 of my lucky readers…
