As I write this month’s Siblings post, it’s the end of the Easter holidays. Little Man and Boo have never been closer. They’ve had two weeks off together, barely out of each other’s sight.
We’ve been away, we’ve joined the English Heritage which has seen plenty of adventures as my little explorers take off together, they’ve had the excitement of Disney On Ice and they’ve had lots of opportunities to just ‘be’ with one another. These are more often than not their craziest and most energetic of moments as they create their own little worlds and stories. I’ve relished the odd moments of downtime, as they are so rare with my two, and we’ve managed to have cuddles on the sofa along with making it a school holiday morning ritual to cosy up and watch a movie together.
They really are a pair. So similar in some ways, chalk and cheese in others, and always enjoying being together. There’s been the odd argument over the break, but the best way I’ve found to quickly diffuse them is by suggesting that if they can’t get on or agree then they should go to separate rooms for a bit – they never want to be separated, so it solves it every time! They really are the best of friends.
This month’s photos are a collection of random moments captured over the last few weeks….
Boo aged 6 years and 6 months, Little Man aged 3 years and 7 months. Love them.
They are really great together. What a great holiday you must have had. Relish these days. They do go by too fast; however, I will say that my younger two (at 14 years, 3 months, and 18 years, 11 months) still are the best of friends and I’m bit sure how either will react once it is time for the older of the two to move out and start her life. My oldest moved out back in 2012. She’s now engaged to be married this December. I think the younger two adjusted to this change fairly well because they had each other. I can only hope that it is not a negative impact on the two as almost 5 years is a large gap. With how close these two are, I don’t see the older of the two talky wanting to go too far just yet. I do hope that is the case. Best wishes to your two littles in everything they do. ?
Ah, lovely to hear that your kids are still close and I’m sure the distance won’t change that. My brother and I are still close despite him living an hour away and us both being busy with our own thing. Thank you 🙂
Sounds like they have amazing relationship. My children are younger than yours but have similar age gap. Gives me hope that my children will be best friends. Thank you for sharing.
They are close and it is lovely seeing them play together. I hope your two grow to have a similar relationship 🙂
Aww such lovely photos of them just being together. I love how suggesting they go separate ways is enough to stop them arguing, so very cute! Xx
Works every time! Thank you x
Sounds like you’ve had a fun month. Love the cheesy grins in the back of the car – were you about to head off for an adventure? The photo where they’re both looking at something on the table is a lovely one too – they look so close 🙂
It’s been lovely, thanks. We were actually just at Asda on that one!! It’s a shot for the nursery bear’s outing! They are very close, thank you x
I think that children really need those school holidays to reconnect a bit don’t they? Mine loved having time off together too. And it looks like you certainly made the most of the time with lots of fun adventures, with some lovely siblings photos to show for it. x
They do, and they just love that down time together. Thank you x
Looks like they have a lot of fun together x
They certainly do, thanks x
Awww lovely pics Joc — the last one with the arch is a framer isn’t it? Just lovely. Their relationship sounds gorgeous — I hope they always remain as close. It’s so precious 🙂 xx #SiblingsProject
Oh so do I, thank you x
Gosh Little Man and Boo seem so much bigger. Isn’t it wonderful how they still are so close and both have gorgeous smiles.
They just keep growing!! Thanks very much
Lovely photos! Hope they had fun at Disney on Ice.
They loved it!
Oh they are just adorable together, and I love the cheesy smiles in the first picture!! I think the nicest thing about the Easter break has been having everyone back around together – roll on half term!
I cannot wait!
Absolutely beautiful x
Thank you x
