Siblings January 2020

The first month of the year and we are settling into it well. Boo and Little Man are back at school and are happy to be there. Whilst I think we would all have rather had another couple of weeks of Christmas, they were content going back on the first day, looking forward to seeing their friends. We’re back into all of the normal routines now, it’s like we didn’t have a break!

These two had a good Christmas holiday, and got on very well throughout. The age gap seems to disappear when they are together all of the time, when they only have each other to play and chat with. They actually have fewer common interests as they get older, as they develop their own passions and hobbies, and yet they are still very close and play along with each other. Little Man tends to have the obsessions, so poor Boo has had to put up with endless conversations about wrestlers and football recently, and she does so with good grace. Much better than me, in fact, there are only so many hours in the day that I want to talk about John Cena or Aston Villa! Boo isn’t really ‘into’ things in the way that Little Man is, she loves reading, music, Herbie and soft toys. None of which she feels the need to obsessively talk about. Thankfully.

I love how their relationship is developing as they grow. They’re as close as they have always been, it just shifts as they age. I do hope that they keep that bond as they grow up.

Here they are this month. I grabbed them for a couple of shots up in Boo’s room.

Boo aged 10 years and 3 months old, Little Man aged 7 years and 4 months old. Love them.

Sharing is caring!

    1. They really do! That’s a shame. I think it happens during the teen years, I’m sure they’ll drift back towards one another again as they grow older x
