Siblings July 2018

These two have had a busy month. There’s so much going on at school and we’ve had a few fun weekends, too, so I’ve somehow lost the last few weeks as they have flown by.

Boo had her first sleepover at school, away from family. She was excited, though a little nervous. Of course I struggled to rest and relax all night, even though I knew she’d be perfectly safe. I dread to think what I’ll be like when they go away for a few nights in a couple of years time! She came home emotional and utterly exhausted, but she loved it and wanted to do it all over again. Little Man seemed to think that it was some sort of holiday, trying to get sweets, takeaways, movies and games until late that night (a school night) as he wanted us all to himself! He did make me laugh, and clearly was not too concerned that his sister wasn’t around.

Then there have been Sports Days, one for each of them as they’re in different key stages, Boo’s had a school trip and Little Man has one coming up, Boo’s had a Roman day where she needed to dress up and Little Man’s had his first school assembly, delivering his line perfectly. They’ve then been into their new classrooms getting used to new surroundings and meeting their new teachers. There has been a lot going on, and we’ve parents evening this week.

At home we have had a fun trip down to London, a day out to Twycross Zoo, lots of time playing in the back garden making the most of the weather and we’ve enjoyed several outings and picnics at National Trust houses. It’s been fun and the kids have loved exploring and discovering together.

These photos were taken at the lovely National Trust property, Packwood House….

Boo aged 8 years and 9 months old, Little Man aged 5 years and 10 months old. Love them.
