This year I am keen to get everyone involved in spreading the papery message.
I blog about paper A LOT. I know, it’s important to me.
Whether it’s reading a book, taking the time to journal, sending happy mail to friends old and new, relaxing with a colouring book, creating cards to send, scrapbooking adventures, paper makes a difference to us. It relaxes us, it connects us, it inspires us, it is undoubtedly great for our mental health and wellbeing.
This year, I’m looking to grow Bring Back Paper and get more people relaxing with paper, from books to mail.
I’m passionate about it and I know that many of you feel the same way.
I want people who already love paper to find and join our community, helping us to grow it, inspiring one another.
And then I want to reach people who haven’t yet fallen in love with it.
People who love the idea of having pen pals, but have never done it. People who really want to spend more time reading and just need the book suggestion and reminder. People who like stationery but never really do anything with it. Let’s reach these people this year, let’s make a difference to more and more people.
I know some of you may be thinking ‘make a difference’ is a bold statement, but it does make a difference. These pastimes do benefit so many. I’m also fortunate to receive wonderful notes and messages from many of you telling me how much Bring Back Paper has brought to your lives.
This year I want to go bigger, and I mean big. I’m shooting for double in every way and double is quite a huge shout! You’ve got to set those goals though, haven’t you?
With that in mind, every week I will be doing things that move us onto this goal.
I have some ideas for new things to try this year along with wanting to continue many of the things that I know you enjoy.
BBP encompasses quite a bit. There’s weekly content here, a weekly video over on YouTube, an Etsy store, our wonderful Facebook group, a monthly book readalong, free activities every month and all that our Patreon memberships involve.
It’s come a long way since it started life as a weekly blog feature!
So what’s the plan?
The first thing I’ve done, is check out that our Papery Memberships are what you want them to be. You’ve let me know so I have updated our Patreon community and added in the stuff that you want and love. If you’ve yet to check those out, do pop over there now and join us for papery fun.
Then in order for us to kick this off in a big way, I’d like your help, please.
I’ve looked at how many people we have reading here, watching over on YouTube, chatting in our Facebook group, watching my InstaStories, subscribed to our weekly newsletter and so on and there are a lot of you! Lots of paper-loving people, my kind of people. And if every one of us did at least one of the following things, I think we’re going to see a difference to get us started.
It’s really simple, I’m suggesting that you each do at least one of these things. Or go big, give it a boost, and do them all!

Share any papery posts I have over on Instagram on your grid or Stories.
Share any of the papery videos over on YouTube. While you’re there, I love hearing from you so comment on a video or two.

This has all grown so well over time, I’ve put a lot into it, as have many of you. I think there’s a real benefit to having a joint effort big push to get us going. Not only will it be fun to welcome new papery people for our activities and chat, just think about how embracing more paper has enriched your time. Let’s get doing that for more people this year.
I’m going to be focusing on trying to get the BBP word out there, and then be sure to stick around for what we’ll be getting up to this year. Let’s make 2024 our papery best!
