I love talking books, so today I want to share with you the authors I’m loving at the moment.
This one does change all the time, if you asked me this last year I’d be coming up with different names, I’m sure.
I’ll always have a few favourites, those ones whose books I pre-order and am then thrilled when they turn up an surprise me! (I always pre-order Eloisa James, Julia Quinn and Sarah MacLean)
I’ve been reading quite a bit lately, and I have been acquiring books at quite a pace, even by my standards. My bookshelves are bursting, which of course I love to see.
I’d say these are the names that spring to mind right now, the authors that I’d suggest you go read if you’re looking for a new book or a little inspiration.
I’ve deliberately kept this to just 5 names, otherwise I could just keep going on and on! Try these 5, if you’ve not done so before.
I’ve popped a link under each one to take you straight to Amazon (affiliate links) and their books if you want to find out more…
Nora Roberts
Nora Roberts is one of the most prolific writers of our time so I struggle to believe that any reader could have not read any of her books, but I have to name her as she is so fabulous.
I have read quite a lot of her books, both standalone and her trilogies and series’, and I have yet to read one that I haven’t enjoyed.
If you’ve never read Nora Roberts, try her. She has plenty of books for you to try!
Angela Marsons
If you are looking for a new crime writer, look no further.
These books are set in an area close to where I live, the Black Country.
I like the character of DI Kim Stone and the stories all unfold brilliantly.
I’ve a couple more of these on my TBR pile right now, looking forward to them.

Shari Lapena
I’ve read a couple of Shari Lapena books now and they are gripping.
She really does keep you guessing, right the way to the end.
I need to read more of hers, I just need my TBR pile to drop a bit first!

Jenny Colgan
When you just want a happy ending? Jenny Colgan.
I have read many, many books by Jenny Colgan and they never let me down.
I enjoy them, I get lost in their worlds, I love the characters, and I always smile.

Clare Mackintosh
When I start a Clare Mackintosh book, I know I am all in.
The book will always, without fail, pull me in and be one of those books that I don’t want to put down.
I have a new one on my TBR pile now. I’ll read it when I know I have a relatively free 24 hours, as I will fly through it.

5 authors I am loving at the moment, try them!
OK, OK, I can’t resist just mentioning, super quickly, a few others that I absolutely recommend you check out if you’ve yet to do so; Lisa Jewell, Beth O’Leary, Talia Hibbert, Milly Johnson, Hazel Prior, CJ Tudor, Lucy Dillon, TM Logan – OK, I am walking away now, I will stop, I fear I could go on with dozens more!
Have you read these authors?

I’m with you on Clare Mackintosh – have read all her novels. Her non-fiction A Cotswold Family Life has many universal truths in it as well as descriptive prose about the countryside. Quite a classic.
She’s so good!
