The Crafting Supplies I Wouldn’t Be Without

I do like treating myself to various bits of stationery, and working at my desk is always a pleasure because I have so many colourful, pretty things in front of me.

I have countless pens, a mix of biros, ballpoints, highlighters, fountain pens, felt tips, fine liners, the list goes on. Then there are the coloured pencils, the tapes, the stamps, the stickers, the memo pads, the writing paper, let’s just say I have lots of stationery!

But there are a few items that I use for crafting that I wouldn’t be without. Those things that I use over and over, or find myself replacing the moment they’re running out, so I thought I’d share my must-haves with you.

Now when I say crafting supplies, let me clarify, as there are many crafts out there. For me, I’m talking things with paper. These are the supplies I wouldn’t be without when I journal or pen pal.

Glue Tapes

These are coming up first because I honestly never run out of these! As soon as the last one is coming to an end, I order a new batch, I cannot run out.

I use these pretty much every time I’m crafting. They are super speedy and easy to use, nice and light for delicate paper and they stick firmly. I can’t rate them enough!

Washi Tape

If you’re crafting, you have to have washi tape, right?!

Possibly the most handy and versatile paper crafting item as it can instantly and very easily decorate paper for you.

If you’ve blank paper, pretty up with washi, make a plain envelope colourful with a few strips of washi, or give your journal a little life with a bit of washi tape.

I use it all the time, and yes, I have a lot of it!

Colourful/Patterned Paper

So many options with this! I have lots of paper sheets and scraps, in a good variety of colours and patterns.

These are great for journals, scrapbooks and happy mail. They can be used as writing paper as they are, or to decorate paper and envelopes, which is how I usually use them. They are also handy for making cute little pen pal extras

Paper Cutter

Of course, if I’m using paper, I need a paper cutter.

I often use this to cut A4 pieces in half and then make A5 writing paper. I also use it when I want more precise paper sizes and shapes, than the torn or ripped look.

I have scissors too, but this is much better at doing the job on those bigger pieces and is always nice and precise.

Sticker Books

I use these a lot. They are such an easy and fast way to decorate envelopes, paper and journals.

I have several of these books as there’s a good range of them, and I do grab them most time that I sit down to craft. I have plenty of other sticker sheets and bundles too, but these are the ones I go back to time after time.

There are then a few lovely little extras, that I’m glad I have to hand but don’t use as often. They can uplevel something or be fun to play with, so I like to grab them from time to time.

For example, I like my label maker, alphabet stamps, wax seal kit, those kinds of things. They make crafting sessions feel a bit more special when I use these too, and they’re fun ‘toys’ to have if you’re looking to treat yourself to a little something extra.

What crafting supplies are your must-haves?
