Thomas and Friends: Merry Christmas, Thomas! DVD – Review

When we were offered the chance to review the latest Thomas the Tank Engine DVD, I literally jumped at the chance. Boo is a huge Thomas fan, and loves the recent King of the Railway film – it’s very well-watched here! It arrived, and it was immediately viewed…

It’s full steam ahead as Charlie discovers how much fun snow can be, whilst Percy gets covered in so much snow that Thomas cannot find him. Salty doesn’t have time for presents and parties until Edward finds him the perfect gift, and the engines compete to find the perfect Christmas tree.

The DVD includes 6 festive episodes, as well as extras such as guess-who puzzle games and a ‘Down at the Station’ video explaining how real engines turn and change tracks just like Thomas. It also comes with a bonus DVD, Big Bang Surprise, with 5 further episodes.

The verdict? Well, the DVDs have taken it in turns to be on every single day since they arrived, so I’m pretty certain that they’re a hit! Boo watches them mesmerised, and it’s been sweet to see that Little Man now recognises Thomas and smiles when he sees the engines, and bops along to the Thomas theme tune. It’s actually one of the few things he’s interested in on TV, so it’s nice to see it make him smile, too.

To sum up – LOVE it!

The DVD is out now to buy, and I’d definitely recommend it if you’ve a Thomas fan in your house. It’s nice to have some festive engine fun!
