I was a fair weather kinda girl. I love my flip flops, vests and summery skirts and I’d make the most of every last drop of sunshine. As soon as the flip flops have to be stowed and the boots or Converse reappear, you’ll not see me outside until spring! Or that was the case, until this autumn.
This autumn has seen us having plenty of outdoors adventures and the kids have been discovering new parks every few weeks, which has of course delighted them (and us, to see their little faces). Here are a few of my favourite autumn escapades (click the titles to read more):
A Leaf Hunt and Our Family Leaf
And just in case you thought this little autumn summary post was because we hadn’t got out there in the past week, oh no, no, no, you doubters! Again, we went to a new park, and met up with some friends and their little ones there for an hour or so of playground shenanigans and duck-feeding. Got to get some fresh air!
So we’ve continued to get out there in autumn. Can I brave the cold and do the same throughout winter? Well, you’ll have to wait and see…
Some beautiful autumn pictures. I do find it harder to find my get up and go in the colder weather.
I find that once I’ve committed to it & got out there I do feel so much happier so I know it’s worth the effort!
It’s lovely seeing all your autumn posts in one place like this, quite inspiring too I think. Winter may be more of a challenge but I’m hoping to be up for it!
Thank you. I did enjoy looking back on them. Yes, us, too, and we’ve already a couple lined up for this week 🙂
Couldn’t help thinking on Moominland Midwinter, when cuts short his hibernation and discovers winter for the first time. Noticing all the differences. Lovely smiley faces from your children. #CountryKids
That does seem to be how it is. How could I not have noticed before?!
I love woods at this time of the year – loads of fallen leaves to kick through!
Just so gorgeous out there – lovely season
You’ve certainly found some great parks to explore and have some family fun in! The autumnal photos are lovely as are your happy children. Thanks for linking up and sharing your outdoor family fun with Country Kids.
Thanks very much for hosting, it continues to inspire & keep us getting out there every week x
Honey what a beautiful collection of pictures. it looks like you have had a lovely autumn xx
Thank you, and yes, we really have.
You’ve certainly made the most of autumn! It does get harder as it gets colder, we just need to snatch those moments when it’s less cold/wet 🙂
Absolutely. It’s about getting out there whenever there’s an opportunity!
Ahh lovely photos!! So much fun!!
Thanks, it has been 🙂
You’ve had some great outdoor adventures. I think autumn is great for getting outside.
Hope you manage to continue through winter 🙂
It really is – plenty to see and do out there. Hope to embrace winter, too.
You’re autumn excursions allowed me to discover your apple & blackberry crumble which I just pinned! There’s nothing better than being outdoors during hot (yes – hot not just warm) weather but autumn and winter outdoor adventures can be lots of fun.
Glad you found it – it’s yummy! Yes, the heat is still my favourite time for getting outside, but I’m starting to appreciate other weather, too.
I love Autumn exploring but haven’t done as much as I’d hoped this year. Your photos are great, I love the Arty Autumn Outing One. Hope you manage to get out and adventure in Winter too!
Thank you. I really hope so – that’s the plan!
I have every confidence that you’ll manage to keep your outdoor adventures going through the winter!! From the pics looks like great fun being had by all x
Oh, definitely loads of fun. We’ll just wrap up a bit more 🙂
