We Embraced The Season

I was a fair weather kinda girl. I love my flip flops, vests and summery skirts and I’d make the most of every last drop of sunshine. As soon as the flip flops have to be stowed and the boots or Converse reappear, you’ll not see me outside until spring! Or that was the case, until this autumn.

This autumn has seen us having plenty of outdoors adventures and the kids have been discovering new parks every few weeks, which has of course delighted them (and us, to see their little faces). Here are a few of my favourite autumn escapades (click the titles to read more):

And just in case you thought this little autumn summary post was because we hadn’t got out there in the past week, oh no, no, no, you doubters! Again, we went to a new park, and met up with some friends and their little ones there for an hour or so of playground shenanigans and duck-feeding. Got to get some fresh air!

So we’ve continued to get out there in autumn. Can I brave the cold and do the same throughout winter? Well, you’ll have to wait and see…

  1. Couldn’t help thinking on Moominland Midwinter, when cuts short his hibernation and discovers winter for the first time. Noticing all the differences. Lovely smiley faces from your children. #CountryKids

  2. You’ve certainly found some great parks to explore and have some family fun in! The autumnal photos are lovely as are your happy children. Thanks for linking up and sharing your outdoor family fun with Country Kids.

  3. You’re autumn excursions allowed me to discover your apple & blackberry crumble which I just pinned! There’s nothing better than being outdoors during hot (yes – hot not just warm) weather but autumn and winter outdoor adventures can be lots of fun.

    1. Glad you found it – it’s yummy! Yes, the heat is still my favourite time for getting outside, but I’m starting to appreciate other weather, too.

  4. I have every confidence that you’ll manage to keep your outdoor adventures going through the winter!! From the pics looks like great fun being had by all x
