You’ll have noticed I am talking more and more about wellness here. It’s central to my life, and has been since my breast cancer diagnosis. I am living mindfully and wellness encompasses so much.
Wellness can be taking a walk, catching up with a friend, a hot tea and a book, speaking positively to yourself, laughing uncontrollably, dancing around your kitchen, eating a great meal, ten minutes stretching, a good night’s sleep, writing a letter to a friend, and I could go on and on.
For me, wellness touches everything we do. It is about moving your body and nourishing it properly. It is about enjoying the little things in life, it is about taking moments for yourself and prioritising doing that. It’s about finding those ways that help you to relax and calm down and it’s about surrounding yourself with people that light you up. It is about living your life well.
Wellness is at the centre of my days and it keeps me strong, happy and motivated.
In addition to living well myself, I am passionate about supporting others with their own wellness. At the moment I am able to do this through my blog, social media and digital product content, but I would like to be able to do more.
Which is why I am excited to share that I am currently studying for a Health and Wellness diploma.
I feel it complements the work that I do here, the content that I share and the products that I am creating in my Etsy store at the moment.
If you’ve not see these yet, do pop over and check out the steadily growing range of wellness and self care printables in store.
And if you’ve been around here for a while, you will know that I love to study, to learn new things and to develop my knowledge and skills.
Over the coming months, as I study, exactly how I support others will become more clear, but I have a few ideas at this point. I am glad that I have many years experience of coaching people in my former career, and this gives me an opportunity to use those skills alongside all of the new skills and knowledge that I have developed over more recent years. I’ve missed supporting, coaching and motivating people, of celebrating their wins with them, and so I am looking forward to doing that again.
There’s lots of work ahead of me, and I am excited to do it. Along with focusing on my studies, I am starting to work out what I’ll do going forward. It’s taking shape slowly, but the one thing that is crystal clear to me is that the first people I’d like to offer support to are my blog and newsletter readers.
The plan is to offer the first few people I work with free coaching, and then for anyone else who pre-registers from here, heavily discounted support.
If you’d be interested in getting involved in some form of wellness coaching, or are just curious at this point, please do pre-register your interest on this form here.
The form is easy to complete and commits you to absolutely nothing.
When I am qualified later this year and have developed the coaching that I will provide, I will simply drop those people who pre-registered an email inviting them to take up the offer of free/heavily discounted wellness coaching, and outline the ways in which they can do this. That’s when you can decide whether you’d like to try this or not.
At this point, I am envisaging several ways that I can offer wellness consulting, from one on ones all the way through to digital eBooks and courses, so this is a very early heads up about it and a chance to let me know what you would be interested in. This will help me to shape what I choose to do, so all feedback is much appreciated.
In the meantime, I’d be interested to know, what does wellness mean to you?
