Gardeners’ World Live is on at the NEC next month, and I am so looking forward to going! I’m going child-free, with my mum, who knows more about gardening than anyone I know, so it feels like I will have an expert guide with me! It’ll be lovely to have the day with just my mum and I, both browsing and mooching about the gardens and plants, a passion that we both share.
So as I am going and am excited, I though it’d be nice to offer you guys the chance to win a pair of tickets, too. Sound good? Then read on for more information about the event and the chance to win….
BBC Gardeners’ World Live HQ has been busy over the past few months confirming a host of exciting new features to inspire your gardening at this year’s Show at the NEC, 16 – 19 June.
Amazing Show Gardens
This year’s show sees some of the most impressive Show Gardens yet, taking centre stage. One of the stars of the Show is Paul Stone’s Canal Boat Garden, representing the legendary Midland’s waterways. With its nomadic planting style covering the roof of the narrow boat set in the backdrop of a canal, meadow planting and lock-keepers cottage garden, this garden will be one for the cameras. In addition, Birmingham School of Architecture and Design’s faculty for landscaping will be producing a garden at BBC Gardeners’ World Live which will then be re-located to Birmingham’s infamous Jewellery Quarter after the Show. ‘A Place To Dwell’ comprises a contemporary design with innovative features including a multi-purpose garden building providing shelter during winter and taking on the form of a pavilion during summer.
BBC Gardeners’ World Live Theatre sponsored by Wyevale Garden Centres
This stage boasts a prestigious line-up of Monty Don, Alan Titchmarsh, Carol Klein and Joe Swift, all sharing their very best advice with the audience first-hand. Theatre sponsor, Wyevale Garden Centres, will host a session each day.
Floral Marquee sponsored by GreenThumb, featuring the NEW Rose Festival
The jewel in the crown, the Floral Marquee, has been refreshed and reinvigorated. Packed to bursting with top quality nurseries, this year it also features a Rose Festival where specialist rose growers come together with beautiful displays, incredible variety for sale, a dedicated rose advice area and the chance to buy all the extras you need for successful growing. Floral Marquee sponsor GreenThumb has joined forces with Award Winning designer Pippa Probert to create an eye-catching central feature.
