Word of the Week 19/2/16

Hello and welcome to Word of the Week!

If you’re new here, Word of the Week is a nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. You reflect back on the past week and sum it up in one word. Then share your word with us in a blog post, with as little or as much explanation as you like. It’s a fun and friendly linky, so please do be lovely and visit as many of the other blogs as you can and share with them your thoughts on their words and weeks. I do comment on every entry to the linky, and if you add the Word of the Week badge to your post to help spread the ‘word’, I also tweet them out.

My word of the week this week is:

Friends

It’s been a lovely half term. We’ve made the most of it by having a few chilled out mornings where the kids have played very happily with one another, and then we’ve had plenty of play dates. It’s been brilliant catching up with friends all week, a chance for me to chat to my friends, whilst the children all delight in seeing each other again and giggling away together. We had a day out at Thomasland with the fab Brummymymmyof2 and our children all love getting together so they had a blast. Then it was play dates here and at friends’ houses for pretty much the rest of the week. The kids have loved it and had so much fun and I have really enjoyed catching up with my friends over a cuppa. Perfect.

What about you? What one word sums up your week best?

Please grab the badge, link up and share.

Linky opens at 6.30am Friday, to midnight on Sunday.

  1. Same here, we didn’t do much either. Like you, we had a few play-dates and just hanging out with friends too. At the end of the term, the kids are exhausted aren’t they? Glad for this break 🙂 #wotw

  3. Hi Jocelyn, it sounds as if your two are having a fun half term. It’s nice that you and your children are getting something out of the play dates, a nice cup of tea and a catch up with friends sounds perfect to me.

    Thanks for hosting.

    xx

  4. Your half term break sounds rather perfect and very relaxing (not that I’m insanely wishing mine had been the same, oh no ;-)). Times like this are what you will all remember in years to come x

  5. It’s so lovely when you can sit and enjoy time with friends and the children get on well, too. It makes for such a lovely, easy relaxed time together
Sounds like your half term has been nice and relaxed.
Have a good week back at school next
    Xx
