Hello and welcome to Word of the Week!
If you’re new here, Word of the Week is a nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. You reflect back on the past week and sum it up in one word. My word of the week this week is:
The first week of the school holidays have passed by in something of a blur! We have been very sociable, so catching up with friends and family has made the time absolutely fly.
It started on Friday night with Boo going off to a party, then Little Man and I were at one on Saturday. We saw family on Sunday, saw a lovely friend that I used to work with and her son on Monday morning and then we had my dad and his partner over on Monday afternoon for lunch and a movie. We were off for a play date with friends on Tuesday, Wednesday was Little Man’s early birthday party and then my mum popped round for the afternoon, and Thursday saw us meeting up with lots of Little Man’s classmates at the park before coming home for a visit from my sister-in-law and nephews. Phew!
It has been so lovely to catch up with so many people and it’s been nice to see Little Man with so many of his friends as they all get on so well.
I’ve managed to get a few jobs done in amongst our get togethers, so the new uniforms are all labelled and hanging in the kids’ wardrobes and I’ve had a few clear-outs here and there. I feel so happy when I’m productive like this! It also means I don’t need to think about it again and I can just enjoy the break.
Next week we’re seeing family over the weekend and then we have just the one play date as we’re off to the seaside for a few days. Can’t wait!
