Hello and welcome to Word of the Week!
If you’re new here, Word of the Week is a nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. You reflect back on the past week and sum it up in one word. Then share your word with us in a blog post, with as little or as much explanation as you like. It’s a fun and friendly linky, so please do be lovely and visit as many of the other blogs as you can and share with them your thoughts on their words and weeks. I do comment on every entry to the linky, and if you add the Word of the Week badge to your post to help spread the ‘word’, I also tweet them out.
My word of the week this week is:
It could so easily have been the same as last week again, as it has felt very festive, but ‘excitement’ definitely sums it up!
Over the last week we’ve had a sleepover at my mum’s, had our annual Muppet Christmas Carol Day, visited a National Trust house to see it decorated beautifully for Christmas, Boo’s been to the panto with school and had her Christmas party, whilst Little Man has his today at nursery, and then they both break up for Christmas. Can you see why excitement levels might be rising here? The kids are ready to pop! I am so looking forward to collecting them today and having a couple of weeks of no school and the delights of Christmas.
There was also excitement this week when I found out that I’d made it into the Tots100 Top 10 UK Parenting Blogs of 2016 – so pleased! Thanks for reading and chatting with me over on social media, I do love what I do!
What about you? What one word sums up your week best?
Please grab the badge, link up and share.
Linky opens at 6.30am Friday, to midnight on Sunday.
Love the excitement at this time of year – I can imagine how much Boo and Little Man are looking forward to Christmas. Jessica still has a couple more days at school left next week – she breaks up a little later. Well done on making the top 10 parenting blogs. Hope you have a lovely weekend and thanks for hosting #WotW 🙂
It is an exciting time of year, magical for the kids. Thank you 🙂
Only 9 more sleeps ! Daisy finishes school today and I think we all ready for a break from the school run and all the festive activities that the last few weeks of school have brought. I imagine excitement levels will be even higher next week. Congratulations on making it to the top 10, well deserved. #WotW

Wow, congrats on the tots! I made it into top 500 this month and thought that was good! Well done!
Thanks and congrats to you, too!
I think an annual muppet christmas carol day will definitely become a tradition in our house! We watched it this year but the baby fell asleep for most of it, though at least we will be able to say it has always been a tradition! I was somewhat perturbed to realise it is 24 years old though x
Oh it’s the best! No, no, it cannot be that old! x
