Hello and welcome to Word of the Week!
If you’re new here, Word of the Week is a nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. You reflect back on the past week and sum it up in one word. Then share your word with us in a blog post, with as little or as much explanation as you like. It’s a fun and friendly linky, so please do be lovely and visit as many of the other blogs as you can and share with them your thoughts on their words and weeks. I do comment on every entry to the linky, and if you add the Word of the Week badge to your post to help spread the ‘word’, I also tweet them out.
My word of the week this week is:
I kicked off the week with a fabulous day out at Gardener’s World Live and the Good Food Show. My mum and I meandered around food stalls sampling various wares and buying nibbles that were just irresistible. We then spent a happy few hours looking at displays, smelling flowers, oohing over show gardens and buying a fair few plants to round off our trip nicely.
In the gardening mood, I then noticed that I had a few unused Tesco Clubcard vouchers so chose to convert them into tokens for a garden website, so I have ordered a few plants from there – including another rose, obviously.
The weekend was then spent in the garden. It was hot and sunny, so the paddling pool and water pistols were out, along with my sun lounger and book. Bliss!
And that pretty much set the tone for much of the week. Every night when Boo’s got home from school we’ve all been in the garden and I have spent time during the days pottering around out there. I do love spending time in the garden.
What about you? What one word sums up your week best?
Please grab the badge, link up and share (Please note it’s a new badge code, so do use this one, thanks!)
Linky opens at 6.30am Friday, to midnight on Sunday.
We really have been treated to some beautiful (but far too hot) weather lately. Your time spent in the garden sounds like bliss. We had the paddling pool out all weekend too, the kids had such a good time splashing around. Have a lovely weekend x
Back to rain today, though, boo! x
It’s certainly been the perfect weather for spending lots of time in the garden. Always lovely to add some new plants too. Hope you can enjoy some more time in the garden over the weekend. Thank you for hosting #WotW 🙂
It’s been great and I love choosing new plants x
“Garden” is a very appropriate word for you, look forward to seeing your new plants in situ.
Have a lovely weekend x
Thank you! x

Garden could have been mine too. We seem to have lived outside. There were times when a paddling pool would have been appreciated. Loved eating in the garden every evening, and pottering around once it cooled down a bit. Your garden trip sounds like a great day out. #wotw
It’s so lovely to make the most of the garden x
It’s lovely to be able to spend time in the garden isn’t it. My hubby has worked hard on our garden this week and it’s looking very neat but also a bit bare, we could definitely do with some more flowers.
Oh yes, always need more flowers!
It sounds like a lovely relaxed week….It has been the perfect weather for it. It really has been all about the garden x
Definitely, it’s been lovely x
The best thing about summer is being able to spend it outside (when it’s not too crazy hot)!!
